Viper SC won the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League for the fifth time in their history. The Kampala-based club won the title ahead of close rival KCCA with 14 points difference and four games to spare.
They ransacked defending champions Express to a 3-0 win at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. Yunus Sentamu who was last season top scorer with 13 goals and currently the top scorer had a brace for Viper in the first half and Bright second-half strike to complete Venom 13 game unbeaten streak which has guided them to the fifth in history.

Tooro United are currently having the poorest run among the 16 teams in this season’s StarTime Uganda Premier League. They have managed only two wins after 27 games and made a horrendous lost record of 21 and 4 draws. They are sited at the bottom of the league, with Police and Mbarara FC occupying the 14 and 15 spots respectively. All three teams will be relegated Should the table remain as it stands.
The race for the CAF Confederation spot is still open in the league, with Kampala City and URA SC jostling for a spot as the closest to The Venom.
