Germany last night extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games since they last lost to England during the Euros 2020 last year. The Italians were dispersed during their fourth game in the tournament to 5-2 full-time scores. Roberto Mancini’s boys have had a rollercoaster campaign in this tournament, winning one game in four.
The Euro2020 champions were trashed to 5-2 results at full time. Joshua Kimmich and Iikay Gundongan’s goals set Germany ahead of the Azzurri in the first half of the encounter. Thomas Müller’s 51 strikes extended Germany’s lead to 3-0 and Timo Werner with a brace made it 5-0. Zurich FC forward Gnonto Wilfred and inter-player Alessandro Bastoni responded for Italy, but unfortunate time wasn’t enough to keep scoring.
England’s colossal defeat suffered by Hungary keeps the Hungarians in group 3. Germany with its transcendent win has six points occupying the second position, a point above Italy and four above England who are bottom of the group.
