A lot of football fans have raised questions on why Tottenham talisman Son Hueng Min misses out on the PFA player of the year team of the season despite winning the golden boot along with Mohamed Salah scoring 23 goals and assisting 7 times in his 35 Premier League appearances.
The list comprises mostly players from Liverpool. Liverpool had six players—Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Thiago, Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah. Manchester City players who made the list included; João Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Debruyne, while Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo completed the eleven men squad.
The shortlists for selections were compiled by members of the players’ trade union in January and then voted for by other players in the respective leagues that had no Son Heung Min on the list.
Meanwhile, Salah wins the PFA player of the year, his second since joining Liverpool. The Egyptian despite missing out on the Premier League title and the Champions League trophy topped the chart of top scorer and top assist in the league.
