Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mané celebrated his first trophy with Bayern Munich last night when the Bundesliga Champions defeated the counterpart club, RB Leipzig, in the German Super Cup, which is a curtain raiser trophy that ushers in the new season.
Young German talent Musilia opened the scoring chart for Bayern in the 14th minute, and Sadio Mané scored his debut goal to extend Bayern’s lead to 2-0. Just before half-time, Benjamin Pavard hit Bayern’s third.
Gnabry and Sane added to Bayern’s number, while RB Leipzig cancelled 3 goals. The match ended 5-3 in favour of Bayern Munich.
Sadio Mané’s former club Liverpool also won the English F. A, Community Shield, last night in their 3-1 triumph against Manchester City.
Darwin Nunez, Mane’s supposed replacement came in the second half and had hands-on both goals that led Liverpool to Victory.
Bundesliga season will start this weekend as Frankfurt hosts champion Bayern Munich on Friday.
