Lukaku has rebuffed claims made by his agent that he wants to hold talks with Chelsea for a possible exit in the summer.
Lukaku, who joined Chelsea from Inter at the beginning of the season for a club record, has struggled with form. He has been hit by illness, Injuries over the time he has been with the blues. For a record signing transfer, Chelsea fans expected umpteen goals from Lukaku, but unfortunately the Belgian has not been helpful.
In December, there were similar outpourings linking the Belgian back to Inter Milan after his agent complained of lack of playing time for Lukaku at Chelsea. Lukaku had some interviews back then, wishing and hoping to reunite with his former teammates. This actually aggressive anger in Thomas Tuchel, who dropped the Belgian on the bench in these fixtures after those unhealthy utterances.
Federico Pastorello, Lukaku agent, had an interview with an Italian top newspaper, and he had admitted to the struggling nature of Lukaku in Chelsea which he described as a problem.
Pastorello said: “Given the figures of the transfer, no one could have expected such a situation. I’m not the one to discuss technical choices, but it is obvious that there was a problem.
“The numbers, however, must be weighted. He is the best scorer of the team this season, even with a lower playing time compared to his teammates.”
