According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid has reached a final agreement with Monaco to sign Aurelien Tchouameni. The 22-year-old plays as a Defensive midfielder and can also play as a central midfielder. Aurelien’s stats this season were impressive this season with Monaco. He made 50 appearances and contributed to Monaco’s eight goals in all competitions.
Fabrizio said a Full agreement has been reached for €80m fees plus add-ons, the total package will be worth €100m for the French midfielder.
Tchouaméni had a verbal agreement with Real on a five-year contract, as he only wanted to join Madrid, no other club.
Paris Saint-Germain was ready to offer a bigger fee than Real Madrid for Tchouaméni, but they left negotiations on Friday, as Aurelién was not thinking of any other option.
Liverpool was also interested in Tchouaméni and had direct contacts with his agents, but Real Madrid was strong in the negotiations after the deal collapsed for Kylian Mbappé.
Official announcement expected once medicals will be completed and paperwork between clubs will be ready/signed.
