Real Madrid today announced their second signing of the summer, Aurélien Tchouameni from AS Monaco. The young, talented player joined in a deal worth €80m from Monaco.
He has made over 90 appearances for Monaco since joining from Bordeaux scoring 8 goals with 7 assists. He played mainly as a defensive midfielder but often has played as a central midfielder.
Aurélien has also been capped nine times for the French National tea since last year, when he made his debut. He has netted twice and has won the UEFA Nations League with the team.
Madrid in their statement says Aurelien will be unveiled on 14 Tuesday, at their stadium.
“Real Madrid C. F. and AS Monaco have reached an agreement over the transfer of Aurélien Tchouaméni, who joins the club on a six-year deal.
Tchouaméni will be unveiled on Tuesday 14 June at Reanoonrid City at 12:00 (CET) following his medical.
Tchouaméni will then be unveiled to the media.”
“This signing represents the capture of one of the most talented players in Europe, in both the present and the future. He was a regular fixture for Monaco and last term clocked up 50 appearances, which yielded five goals. Despite his youth, he has received several awards in his homeland. France’s Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) included Tchouaméni in the Team of the Season in each of the last two campaigns, whilst he was crowned as the Young Player of the Season in the 2020/21 campaign.”
