The French Football Federation has disclosed that Christopher Nkuku will miss the World Cup after the 25-year-old picked an injury from Camavinga’s challenge this morning during a training session. Nkuku was shortlisted in Didier Deschamp 26 man squad for the World Cup, but unfortunately, his dream to play in his first World Cup has been hampered.
The French Football Federation discloses this update via their official Facebook page:
“Injured in training, Christopher Nkuku must forfeit the World Cup. The whole group shares Christopher’s sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery.”
Christopher, who is Bundesliga’s top scorer so far with 12 goals, has netted 17 goals and made 4 assists in all competitions for RB Leipzig this season.
