Senegal, Netherlands, England, and USA booked a knock-round spot last night following their victory over their counterparts. Senegal, being the first African country to qualify, defeated Ecuador by 2-1 in their final group A game. The Netherlands in the same group defeated host nation Qatar to maintain their top spot for the qualifications.
In group B, the USA, and the Three Lions make their way to the round of 16 after a successful triumph over Iran and Wales. USA’s only goal was enough to push them through, while England pulverized Wales by 3-0 to earn a top spot in the group.
England will face African champions Senegal in the knock round, while the Netherlands will take on the USA for their knockout round game.
