PSG reclaims the title after they were denied the league last season by Lile. They have now won 8 from the previous 10 Ligue with only Monaco and Lile coming in between.
According to Skysports, the fans of PSG seem not to be in a joyous mood following their exit from the Champions League.
Sealing the Ligue 1 title, however, was not a cause for celebration for some ultra fans who left the Parc des Princes 15 minutes before the final whistle as they were still frustrated by the team’s early exit from the Champions League.
PSG was knocked out in the last 16 after squandering a 2-0 aggregate lead in 15 minutes against Real Madrid.
PSG was held to a 1-1 draw by 10 men Lens at Parc De Princes at full time. Messi scored the only goal for PSG in the 68th minute just after a few minutes when Kevin Danso received his second yellow that reduced Lens to ten men. Corentin Jean leveled for Lens just two minutes before full time.
PSG snatched the title ahead of Marseille by a difference of 13 points with four matches left to play. Lens is still bidding for a spot in the top four with 54 points secured. While the most successful club St. Ettiene resides in the relegation zone.
