League leaders were deterred at Owerri by Heartland FC. Heartland who are battling relegation, pushed out after a glorious home victory against the Pride of Rivers. They seized a second half opportunity to score twice, and moved away from the relegation zone.
Enyimba 2-1 Lobi Stars.
Lobi Stars denied Enyimba a chance during the first half of the game at The Enyimba International Stadium, Aba. Samuel Kalu fired the Peoples Elephants to an early lead in the second half of the game, Finidi George made a tactical change, bringing on Samuel Stone for Emeka Obioma. Just three points to end the game, he scored to increase Enyimba’s lead. Unfortunately, his goal was neutralized by Ganda Samuel during the additional minutes.
Plateau 3-1 Wikki Tourist.
Plateau capitalizes on the Pride of Rivers’ vulnerability at Heartland yesterday to reduce the points’ deficit back to four. Jesse Akila’s double and Ibrahim Buhari’s goals lifted Plateau over Wikki at the Jos Township Stadium. Fidelis Ilechukwu and his men are hopeful to overhaul Rivers with continued pressure on the log.

Remo conquest against Rangers at their territory to go a point ahead of them on the log. Remo has returned to the CAF Confederation spot after the narrow win. Alimi Sikiru scored the only goal that decided the game in the 40th minute.
Sunshine Stars 0-0 Akwa United
Defending Champions held Sunshine to a barren draw at Akure as they got two points clear of Sunshine to a 7th place on the log. Coach Deji Ayeni’s campaign since taking over has been resplendent.
Niger Tornadoes 1-0 Gombe United
Regardless of the red card to Lukman Mohammed, the Ikon Allah boys still were able to fight for a narrow win at the Ahmadu Bello Way Stadium, Kaduna. Munir Idris’s early strike for Tornadoes against Gombe stood until full time.
