Enugu Rangers 1-0 Gombe
Rangers at Nnewi Anambra State got a tough win against Gombe United. Chidiebere 49th-minute strike separates both sides.
Rangers retained the 4th spot with 28 points, while Gombe dropped to 10th place.
Heartland 1-0 Tornadoes
It took Emmanuel Jonas 11 minutes into the tie to Heartland at Owerri. A narrow and important win for Heartland, who have now moved out from the relegation zone to 15th place with 19 points. And Niger Tornadoes relegate to 18 places on the log.
Abia Warriors 0-0 Akwa United.
Warriors were held to a barren draw at home by Akwa United. Warriors controlled the better of the possession in the first and a 50/50 one in the second half.
Warriors have dropped to 16th place with the same point as Dakadda who sits in 17th place in the relegation area.
Dakadda 2-0 Enyimba
Despite a win, Dakadda continues in the danger zone. They were spirited at Uyo against Enyimba, scoring both goals in the first half.
Dakota remains in the danger zone, and Enyimba drops to 8th place.
Kano Pillars 2-0 Nasarawa United.
Mark Daniel scored 1 minute into the game for Pillars, a what seems to be the fastest goal this season. Ifeanyi Eze just before the second half netted the second for Pillars against a vulnerable Nasarawa side.
Pillars level up on points of 21 with Nasarawa, and both sit in 11th and 12th position.
MFM 1-2 Kwara United
The only away loss of this round was witnessed at MFM ground. Their third losses at home this season and 10 losses in 17. A worrying campaign to the MFM sides who look likely to be relegated.
Sits at the bottom while Kwara moved to 5th place.
Remo Star 3-0 Sunshine
Remo pulverized Sunshine to 3-0 at Remo Star Stadium, Ikenne. A comfortable win for “The Sky Blues Stars”
They have now returned to a CAF qualification spot and Sunshine dropped to 9th place.
Plateau United 1-0 Katsina United
Plateau left it late to keep their title hope flaming. Twenty years old Defender Ibrahim Buhari struck the winning goal in additional minutes.
Plateau is pinching Rivers at the top of the table with a point difference. Katsina remains a close neighbor to MFM.
Rivers United 2-0 Shooting
Joseph Onoja took the mantle of goal scoring against Shooting netting twice for “The Pride of Rivers”
River’s spirit continues, and they have painted themselves as the most potential champions since the campaign began.
The ride is at the top. And Shooting sits at 13th place with just two points off the relegation zone.
Wikki Tourist 1-0 Lobi Stars.
Wikki retained the early lead of 1-0 until full time against Lobi Stars of Makurdi. Abubakar Ibrahim’s goal in the 12th minute diverse both sides.
Wikki has now pushed to 7th place while Lobi on 19 points sits at 14th position.
