Warriors moved away from the relegation spot with two points, while Rangers are in third place with just a point above Remo Stars.
Plateau United 1-0 Kano Pillars.
Sai Masu Gida slumped at the Jos Township Stadium through a narrow 1-0 defeat they suffered. Jesse Akila’s 40th-minute strike helped the Jos-based club to reduce the points’ deficit to seven on top of the table. Rivers are not secured yet, with the pressure Plateau continues to mount, which implies their destiny is in their hands.
Wikki Tourist 1-0 Rivers United
River’s title hope was dint at Bauchi by Wikki. Rivers were denied yet another ten points gap above the rival by the loss. Manu Garba’s 14th minute goal was the only goal that separated both sides at full time. Wikki moved up to the middle of the table with 44 points.
Remo Star 1-0 Gombe United
The Sky-blue boys were spirited at Ikenne closing on points with Rangers by a point difference. Remo who started the league in high spirit will be confident to finish the season among the top3 teams. Gombe was relegated to 9th place, leveling on points with Wikki Tourist.
Tornadoes 2-1 Enyimba
Tornadoes return to winning ways after a difficult win over the People’s Elephant in the Ahmadu Bello Way Stadium, Kaduna. Musa Wakili’s 45th-minute spot-kick conversion helped the Ikon Allah Boys succeed over Enyimba. On the log, Enyimba dropped to sixth place and Tornadoes moved two places above the relegation zone.
Dakadda 2-0 Shooting
Dakadda defeated 3SC on their turf on Sunday but were in the danger zone despite the win. Dakadda scored 27 and 56 minutes of the encounter, with Elum Sochima missing a penalty for shooting. The loss means a threat to Shooting, who are now just two points off the relegation area.
Kwara United 2-0 Katsina United.
The Afonja Warriors pummelled their visitors in Ilorin with a 2-0 victory. Katsina is throwing closer to the relegation area with just two points off that area. The Afonja Boys go one point above Enyimba to fifth place on the log.
Heartland 1-0 Akwa United.
The Promise Keepers who have not won any of their last two games suffered yet another defeat at Owerri. Adeniji Adewale’s second-half goal separates both sides at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. Heartland remained in the danger zone despite the win, while defending champions dropped to 8th place.
Sunshine 2-1 Nasarawa United
Sunshine retained their first lead, rebuffing any threat to level the game. The Akure-based club scored their decisive goals in the first half and refused to concede to all threats dislodged by Nasarawa United. Sunshine are in 7th place and six points away from the top three, whileNasarawa is spotted at the 11th spot.
MFM 0-0 Lobi Stars
MFM was held to a barren draw by a fellow relegation team, Lobi Stars. Both teams shared points at the full time remaining in the danger zone.
