Rabiu Ali gave Pillars an early lead which was neutralized by Jonas Emmanuel and Musa Wakili’s late spot-kick gave Ikon Allah Boys all three points. The NNL champions are in 12th place with 33 points acquired.
Enyimba 3-0 Gombe United
The people’s Elephant returns to winning ways at Aba following their previous defeat to Shooting Stars in Ibadan. Familiar names on Enyimba scoresheets were involved in the goals, Emeka Ebioma, Victor Mboama, and Cyril Olisemeh all scored. Victor Mboama netted his 11th goal of the season with just two goals adrift Rivers United talisman Isahq Kayode.
Enyimba moved to 7th place with three points above visitors Gombe who sits in 9th place.
Kwara United 2-1 Rivers United
Rivers we’re stunned at Ilorin following their defeat to Kwara, Nelson Esor just in two minutes scored for Rivers which stood all first half. In the second half of the game, Kwara scored both goals to take a lead of 2-1.
Rivers remains at the top of the log with 55 points and 4 points clear of close rival Plateau United, while Kwara moved to 5th place on the log.
Katsina United 1-0 Akwa United
Akwa stumbled at Katsina following their 1-0 lost at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina. This is Deji Ayeni’s first loss with the Promise Keepers since taking charge after seven games. Katsina is out from the relegation place to 14th place, meanwhile Akwa United sits a point behind Kwara United.
