Nottingham Forest today unveiled the signing from Dean Henderson from Manchester United. Dean joined Forest on a loan deal and becomes Forest second signing of this summer following the arrival of Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin this week.
Dean seeks a regular game time and with the constant availability of David De Gea a loan move was a better option for the English keeper.
Henderson made his first team debut for Manchester United in a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Luton Town in September 2020. His UEFA Champions League debut came two months later against Istanbul Basaksehir, with his Premier League debut coming in a 3-2 victory away at Southampton in November 2020.
He made 26 appearances in all competitions in 2020-21, keeping 13 clean sheets, and was then called up to Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for the delayed European Championships, but a hip injury ruled him out for the majority of the tournament.
Featuring three times for The Red Devils last season, Henderson now begins a new chapter, arriving at loan at The City Ground equipped with plenty of experience.
