The NFF President Amaju Pinnick went in search of a manager to succeed Genort Rohr after the German Franco was sacked. Genort Rohr was the longest-serving manager in the history of the Super Eagles starting his campaign in 2016 and has since then qualified the three times Africa championship to AFCON and world cup respectively.
Pinnick contacted Mourinho for coach recommendation and It seems Pinnick is satisfied with Mourinho’s coach recommendation with reporting claiming that the NFF will unveil the Portuguese soon.
Jose Peseiro has been recommended by Mourinho and according to the report, NFF will confirm the Portuguese as the Super Eagles head coach should the agreement be reached between both.
He has coached Real Madrid(assistant Manager), Sporting CP, FC Porto, Al Ahly and amongst others. His latest job was with Venezuela national team.
