Manchester United picked their first win since they last won against Norwich at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are battling with form and could miss out on the top four races with the recent form of Arsenal and Tottenham.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring chart for United in the encounter, not until the 61 minutes when Ronaldo converted from the spot-kick, his 18th goal of the season. Varane made it 3-0 converting Alex Telle’s cross for his first goal in the United colors.

In the game, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic who both joined Manchester United received standing ovations as it seems both have played their last game at Old Trafford as United players. Matic and Mata are expected to leave the club during the summer.

Manchester United who has already played 36 games is on 58 points and can’t end the season over Chelsea who sits in the third spot. The only hope of United playing in the Champions League is by jostling for a fourth-place, and Arsenal and Tottenham must drop points.

Harry Maguire has not been used in the squad since the bomb threat toward his house had surfaced, and possibly, he could be among players in Manchester who will lay off after the season is over.
