The Norwegian’s job has been in question for a while now, with humiliating losses against Liverpool and Manchester City not helping his cause.
As per the Daily Mail, Solskjaer has now spoken to Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic in an attempt to find a solution. The coach called them for a meeting at 10am at the club’s Carrington training facility on Thursday.
There have been reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has grown unhappy with the situation at Old Trafford since joining in the summer and that he would already be considering his future beyond the summer should they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Solskjaer on the brink
Until now, though, United have stood by Solskjaer despite mounting pressure from around the club to part ways with the former player.
