Not the result Liverpool fans wanted after the demolition of Manchester United on Tuesday at Anfield. They were hoping for Graham Potter and his men to hold this cityside to a draw at most. But hopes have failed them.

Ryan Marhez set the Citizens higher in the 53 minutes of the game after his goal.  Marhez also assisted Foden in the 62 minutes of the game. Folden scored to make the scoreline 2-0 for City. Not until 82 minutes when Bernardo Silva converted Kevin Debryune’s assist. City wins the tie by 3-0 comfortably at Etihad and has returned to the top of the log by a point difference from Liverpool.

The rivalry between both Managers of Liverpool and Manchester City will continue until the last day. A slip by any of the clubs currently could jeopardize their chances.
