Tottenham Hotspur made a declaration last week that Lucas Moura will part ways with the club after the end of the season. The Brazilian has bid his emotional farewell to the club and fans in a letter shared by Tottenham.
Moura joined Tottenham from PSG in 2015 and has made 220, in those appearances he scored 38 goals and made 27 assists.
“It’s a mix of emotions… it’s very hard to say goodbye, especially when you love the place you are, when you love your team-mates. It has been a pleasure, five years was amazing, so special. I’m so grateful. I don’t have the words to thank everyone enough. I cannot explain how I’m feeling, how grateful I am, how happy I am, all the affection. These years have been unbelievable. Like I said, I don’t have the words to explain how I’m feeling. I will miss it a lot, the stadium, the players, all the people who work at the club, the atmosphere, I will miss it all. I have enjoyed this adventure and what makes it even more special is that I had my second son here and my family have grown up watching me play here at this stadium. When they are older, I will show them the video, and they will be proud. Now, we keep going and wait for the next challenge. It’s difficult to say more… I’ve already cried a lot. I will keep every moment in my heart – and I will be back.”
