It Not the game plan Ralf Rangstick hoped for, but at Anfield under the reign of Jürgen Klopp hell is let loose on teams. One would have said the absence of Ronaldo triggered the 4-0 scoreline, but Ronaldo was part of the squad Liverpool ransacked 5-0 at Old Trafford this season.

Liverpool was controlling the game from the beginning until full-time. Retaining 74% possession, 14 goal attempts as against 2 from Manchester United, 5 shots on goal for Liverpool in which 4 of those were converted to goals, and only one shot on goal for Manchester United.

Liverpool has now completed a double on Manchester United this, scoring 9 goals in both legs and Manchester United scorinonenone. This is the first time in history a team will defeat Manchester United in both legs with such a scoreline. Mohammed scored 5 goals from the 9 conceded by Manchester United. As well the first time in history a player will score 5 goals against Manchester United in two legs of Epl fixtures.

Jürgen Klopp keeps the title pressure high on City as they have now gone two points clear of the Citizens, who will play against Brighton tomorrow. Liverpool has secured 76 points with 6 games to left.  Meanwhile, Manchester United’s hopes for top4 have dwindled as they dropped to sixth place below Arsenal.
