Liverpool in their quest for a quadruple this season will be without two of their important players in their trip to Southampton this evening.
Liverpool, who could still win the EPl due to Manchester City’s failure to triumph against the Hammers, will play against Southampton today.
Manchester City came from behind to draw against Westham on Sunday, which has left the league still at the reach of Liverpool.
Liverpool will be crowned Champions should they win their games against Southampton and Wolves, with City failing to defeat Aston Villa at Etihad.
Liverpool Journalist, Neil Jones, released a statement of Jurgen on the absence of Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.
“Virg definitely not, but that was pretty much clear before the [Chelsea] game, that this [Southampton] is the game. He played a lot, and Saturday-Tuesday again was not going to be possible.
“They are both OK. The target would be for both to be involved again on the weekend, properly involved, either on the bench or starting. That would be perfect for the game, but if not then we take each day afterward.
“We are very positive, do not doubt the [Champions League] final, but we are pretty realistic about the Wolves game. But tomorrow, no.”
