Arsenal last night was handed their first defeat in the European second-tie competition after losing 2-0 to PSV, although the English league leaders have secured a place in the round of 16 on match day 4. Manchester United defeated Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford by 3-0 to seal a round of 16 places. Ronaldo returns to the squad with a goal, Marcos Rashford from the bench scored and Diogo Dalot scored the United opener.

Former Barcelona striker De Jong was a sub at the start of the second half and after 10 minutes assisted Veerman’s goal, in the 63rd minute he scored through Gapko’s assist. Although Arsenal was resilient, they couldn’t salvage a point for themselves.

Ronaldo returned for Manchester United in their Europa League tie against Sheriff last night. Ronaldo scored United’s last goal, while Marcos Rashford and Diogo Dalot also hit the back of Sheriff goalkeepers net to put their names on the scoresheet.
