The Super Cup is an annual contest held between the winner of the two most prestigious and competitive club trophies in Africa, the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The winners of both are paired to jostle for the CAF Super Cup.
Al Ahly qualified into the CAF Super Cup final after their triumphant victory over Kaizer Chief of South Africa in the CAF Champions League final that took place in Casablanca, Morocco 2021. Al Ahly won the tie by 3-0 against the South African side Kaizer Chief.
Raja Casablanca booked a CAF Super Cup spot in the final as the Champions of CAF Confederation winning JS Kabylie of Algeria by a 2-1 scoreline.
Match Analysis:
The game began with attempts from both sides, 13 minutes into the game, Raja took the lead with a horrendous own goal from Yasser Ibrahim El Hanafi.

Raja maintained the lead until the 90th minute and conceded carelessly during the extra minutes. Taher Mohamed levels up for the Egyptian giant to a 1-1 scoreline.
The game extended into a penalty shootout, both teams consumed all 5 players who all converted from spot-kick.
Abdelilah Madkour going for the 6th spot-kick for Raja Casablanca doesn’t keep his cool and fails to convert the penalty. He skips the ball way over the bar and into the stands. Al Ahly needed not to kick the 6th and were declared winners.
