Eleven who succeeded Genort Rohr as the interim coach of the Super Eagle is anticipated to lead the team to the AFCON tournament starting on the 9th of January in Cameroon.
The former Super defender and manager are as well expected to continue the playoff spot secured by Genort Rohr for a qualification spot in Qatar 2022.
He was granted an interview with Brila FM and in his words he said:
90 per cent of the players in the team have been together, we’ll stick with the team that has been together, but we will bring in a few maybe 5. Only a few new faces will get called up.
“Our players aren’t as bad as some of the results may have appeared.
“I hate to say it was a problem, but we want to inject discipline. Something went wrong and we have to fix that.”
Few players are currently doubtful for a call up due to injury, Oghene Etebo Peter, Victor Osihmen whose situation is still monitored.
With the transcendent form, some players are demonstrating in Europe Victor Osihmen may not be missed as such.
There are likes of Emmanuel Dennis, who currently has scored 7 goals for Watford and made 5 assists.
Also is Taiwo Awoniyi the Union Berlin talisman who has been scoring goals for fun this season.
Paul Onuachu is currently on 11 goals but Genk is also not a pass bye. Amongst others.
