Arsenal burst a top4 hope after a transcendent victory over Chelsea in the London Derby. Haven’t lost their three previous EPL matches against Brighton, Crystal Palace, Southampton, and Arsenal tight up at Stamford Bridge to avoid a fourth consecutive loss in the EPL.
Eddie Nketiah scored for the first time this season for Arsenal, scoring twice. He capitalized on Andre Christensen’s short-back pass to Edouard Mendy to give Chelsea the lead. Just four minutes after Nketiah’s goal, Timo Werner hit, and it deflected on an Arsenal defense that was out of the reach of Aaron Ramsdale. Smith Rowe scored from Martin Odegaard’s assist to make the scoreline 1-2 in favor of Arsenal. Cesear Azpillicueta leveled the game before halftime. Eddie Nketiah scored his second in the second half and Bukayo Sako netted the fourth goal from the spot-kick to give Arsenal a win by 2-4.
Advantage Arsenal moves to 5th place with the same points as Tottenham of 55 only goals separate both sides. Despite the loss, Chelsea is confident of making the top4 with 6 matches to end the season.
