Manchester United and Ajax today confirmed that Anthony Santos has switched club allegiance from Ajax to Manchester United for a huge fee of €100m with add-ons. Anthony becomes Manchester United’s second most expensive player after Paul Pogba signing in 2016 from Juventus, he becomes the Premier League’s fourth most expensive player.
The 22-year-old Brazilian forward joined Eredivisie Champions from Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2020 for a fee of around €15.75m.

“Manchester United has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Antony, subject to a medical, player terms being finalised, and international clearance.
Antony has 31 goals and 27 assists in 134 club appearances for Ajax and Sao Paulo, and two goals and two assists in nine senior appearances for his native Brazil.
He has won two Eredivisie titles, and a gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics.”

The winger is under contract at Ajax until June 30, 2025. Ajax has agreed to a transfer fee of € 95 mill players including add-ons, the fee could rise to € 100 million.
Antony was born on the 24th of February, 2000 in São Paulo, Brazil. The attacker came from São Paulo FC in 2020. On the 13th of September 2020, Antony made his official debut in the first team against Sparta (0-1). He scored the only and winning goal. He played 82 official matches for Ajax in which he scored 24 times.
With Ajax, Antony became champions of The Netherlands two times, in 2021 and 2022. He also won the Dutch Cup in 2021.”
