According to multiple reports, Chelsea’s right back Reece James has been sidelined by a knee injury and may be out from the Three Lions squad for the World Cup. Already Trent Alexander Arnold of Liverpool is out for two weeks and Kyle Walker is not available as well and is confirmed to miss the World Cup.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter told reporters on Friday: “He is due to see a specialist over the weekend. Until we get that information, there’s not too much I can add. We will wait and see.”
With the injury rocking the England national team, Kieran Trippier and Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters are now in line to replace James and Walker.
