Chelsea has officially announced that Ben Chilwell will miss the World Cup in Qatar as a result of an injury the left back sustained during Chelsea’s last UCL group-stage game against Dinamo Zagreb which they won 2-1.
A club statement from Chelsea:spell-out
“Following the injury sustained in our recent game against Dinamo Zagreb, Ben has undergone a scan of his hamstring.
Results show that Ben has suffered a significant injury and the defender is unfortunately expected to miss the World Cup.
Ben will now begin a rehabilitation programme with the club doctors.”
