Celtic won the Scottish League for the 52nd time in their history.

Celtic, who had their nine wins in the Scottish league, win in a row stopped by Rangers last season reclaimed the league. They have now won 52 times with a 41% win ratio. Only the Rangers have won more than 55 with 44% win ratios. They dominated the league, winning it 9 times uninterrupted from the 2011/12 season to 2019/20.

 

Their victory in the league was confirmed last night when they played 1-1 away to Dundee United. Celtic forward Georgios Giakoumakis scored in the 53rd minute of the game but had his goal neutralized by Dylan Levitt in the 72nd minute. 

 

They clinched the league with 90 points acquired and 4 points above close rivals Rangers who have 86 points. Celtic and Rangers will represent the Scottish in the UEFA Champions League next season. Hearts will play in the second division of the European competition, with Motherwell and Dundee United playing in the UEFA Europa League Conference.
