Cape Verde stalks Eagles to a 1-1 draw on home Soil

Super Eagles returns to action after last outing against Liberia in Morocco. Genort Rohr men had a convincingly win of the Lone Stars of Liberia with both goals coming from the spot kick scored by Victor Osimhen and captain Ahmed Musa.

We took on Cape Verde Lagos at Teslim Balogun Stadium today in quest to continue our World cup qualification hopes.

Genort Rohr made only one changes in his squad sheet different from the one used against Liberia. Odion Ighalo was used in place of Kelechi Iheanacho.

One minute into the game Victor Osimhen lighted up Teslim Balogun Stadium with an Enthralling goal.
But unfortunately we conceeded 6 minutes into the game.

Cape Verde leveled up at half time in the encounter.

At 86 minutes Shehu Abdullahi came in for Simon Moses.

At 77 minutes Genort Rohr made two changes as Frank Onyeaka came in for Joel Aribo and Kelechi Iheanacho for Odion Ighalo.

At 89 minutes Paul Onuachu came in to replace the goal scorer Victor Osimhen.

Cape Verde silenced eagles to a 1-1 draw at full time at home soil Teslim Balogun Stadium.

As it stands Super Eagles are still leading on the log of GroupC with 13 points and Cape Verde the closest with 11 points.

With Nigeria securing a play off spot in the world world cup Qualifiers.
