Dortmund, who has 12 points as well, sits 4th place on the log with goal difference adrift Bayern.
Mathys Tel put Bayern ahead before half-time. Chris Führich levelled the scores and Jamal Musiala restored the lead around the hour mark. Serhou Guirassy then dispatched an injury-time penalty to snatch a point for the visitors. The La Liga Champions will lock horns against Barcelona in their next UEFA Champions League game.
