For the first time in Manchester United history, they were beaten 4-0 in the first half of the game. Brentford put four against Striving Manchester United just in the first half. The game ended exactly 4-0 as Manchester United could not reduce the goals deficit suffered.

Brentford scored all four goals starting from the 10th minute to the 35th minute of the first half.

For the first time in 30 years, Manchester United have lost their first two first games into the season.

The Reds’ no.7 was selected in Ten Hag’s starting line-up for today’s Premier League game away to Brentford, after coming on as a second-half substitute in the opening weekend defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

“It was short [pre-season] but Ronaldo is Ronaldo. He can do that,” the United boss told our reporter Stewart Gardner.

“He proved that so often in the past. He’ll fit the guy, and he has to show that today.”

Manchester United play Liverpool next in the third round of the league.
