Brentford today announced on their page that their English striker Ivan Toney has been charged with additional alleged breaches of their betting rules by the English FA. The club says they have begun communication with the player via his Twitter page and he’s expected to make a response Wednesday 4 January 2023.
“The FA have informed Brentford FC that Ivan Toney has been charged about additional alleged breaches of their Betting Rules.
Our private discussions with Ivan and his legal representatives on this matter continue. Ivan has until Wednesday, 4 January 2023 to respond.
We will make no further comment at this stage.”
They have scored 10 Premier League goals in the first half of this season for Brentford, with 3 assists. Also in the EFL Cup, he scored one and assisted one.
