Bayern kicked off the new season with a transcendent victory over Frankfurt last night at Frankfurt turf. Bayern won the title last season and have shown traits that they could defend it this season.
Newly recruited Sadio Mané was on the scoresheet for the Bundesliga giant. Joshua Kimmich scored the first goal of the season just 5 minutes into the encounter, Benjamin Pavard made it 2-0 before Sadio Mané’s goal which came in the 29th minute. Jamal Musiala grabbed a brace at the 35th and 83rd minutes respectively. Serge Gnabry scored for Bayern as well to make it 6-1 at full time after Kolo Muani had pulled one out for Frankfurt.
The season has officially been declared open, with other games in match day one set to hold today and tomorrow.
