Barcelona unveiled Christensen as Barcelona’s new centre-back. Andreas Christensen was presented today in the company of president Joan Laporta and the director of the international area, Jordi Cruyff.
In his first press conference since his move from Chelsea, the Danish defender repeated many times that this had been a personal dream ever since he was a little child. As he told the media today, “when I was eight, I wrote on a piece of paper that my dream was to play for Barça”.
“I have come to Barcelona to win trophies” he added. “That is my main goal.”
Asked about his future role in the team, he insisted that “I aim to play every week. There is healthy competition and there are some very good players in this team. I am looking forward to starting to work with my new teammates.”
“I think I’ll fit in well with the way Barça play. The way FC Barcelona play is the one I feel most comfortable with.”
“I can’t wait for the season to start and to play for this team because I know about everything it can achieve.”
