Abia Warriors today disclosed that the team has parted ways with the club head coach Imama Amakapor following the expiration of his two years contract with the Abia-based club. Warriors gained promotion to the Nigerian league’s top flight NPFL in 2013 ten years after the club was created.
Last season they battled relegation and survived with just two points above Katsina United.
On their official website, I read:
“The management of Abia Warriors Football club has announced that it has parted ways with Coach Imama Amakapor after the expiration of his two-year contract, the club Media Officer, Nwosu Chigozie, confirms.
The club has thanked him for the services rendered and wishes him well in his future assignment.”
