Kwara United have been fined one million by LMC for breaching NPFL rules.
Kwara United who won League leaders Rivers United in their last encounter in Ilorin have been sanctioned as well for intruding into the stadium by fans while the game was still active in play.
LMC has fined the club one million naira and has given the grace of seven days to pay all fines and elect to appeal, which failure to do will attract more stiffen sanctions.
It was reported that Some Officials of Rivers United were seen sprinkling anointing oil on the gate of Kwara United’s stadium before they entered as they alleged juju was installed in the entrance of the stadium. Kwara won the encounter by 2-1 after full time.

Kwara Utd have also been charged for breaching the NPFL Framework & Rules in their Match day 26 fixture vs Rivers Utd.
Some supporters of Kwara Utd encroached onto the technical area/field of play, causing disorder & bringing the league to disrepute in the course of the match.
Kwara Utd have been fined N1 million for encroaching onto the field of play & will play their next home match vs 3SC behind closed doors (without fans).
Failure by Kwara Utd to uphold the tenets of fair play might lead to stiffer sanctions as prescribed under the league framework & rules.
Kwara Utd has 7 working days to pay all fines & elect to appeal the sanctions.
